Physiotherapy during pregnancy
Dec. 9, 2018
All the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, as well as possible injuries and interventions after childbirth, can be treated with the help of physiotherapy.
In Spain, around 400,000 women become pregnant, and during the gestation period, they experience a series of physiological changes. The front part of the body gains most of the weight, causing the center of gravity to shift, and the woman develops new postural and motor patterns that sometimes cause discomfort and even pain.
The Physiotherapy aims to ensure that mothers reach childbirth in the best possible physical condition, providing the knowledge and experience necessary to manage the phases of dilation, expulsion, and puerperium.
In our physiotherapy sessions, we assist with manual physiotherapy treatment, clinical Pilates for pregnant women, and hypopressive exercises to achieve well-being despite the physiological changes experienced.
